Mapleleaf quietly sighed in disappointment when Thunderblaze failed to hear what she had wanted him to hear. Bumping him slightly with her shoulder, she whispered in his ears, her voice soft with happiness.
"Thunderblaze, you're going to be a father," she said before laying her eyes on him. "I'm a queen now."
Although it didn't quite work the way Sparrowstar and the calico tabby had planned, the information was revealed to the whole of ThunderClan, so Thunderblaze would have found out either way.
He would've known something was up if I started sleeping in the nursery. she shrugged and then waited a moment for her mate to react before making the move to put her nest into the nursery.
After her dark-furred mate reacted, she looked at Sparrowstar and happily cheered the names of Mottlepaw and Blazingpaw. Blazingpaw, she could recall being a bit of a bully, but hopefully, Copperfire would train and advise his apprentice properly and shape it into something that would be useful to ThunderClan.
"Mottlepaw! Blazingpaw!"
Next up to be addressed was Rainpaw's outburst. Both Batblood and Thrushfur went to get the young tom, so she shook the thought of an apprentice rushing out of camp out of her thoughts and focused on the rest of the meeting. Sparrowstar was warning the Clan about incomplete patrols or cats who didn't report to said patrols.
At least it's being addressed... she huffed and glanced at her belly. There was no way she'd be happy if she lacked more food than necessary because of some incomplete patrol. Then the announcement of rogues was made. Luckily there haven't been any more run-ins. Once the meeting was dismissed, Mapleleaf sighed and cast a soft smile in Thunderblaze's direction.
---------------------------------
Flamepaw cheered for Blazingpaw and Mottlepaw along with the rest of the Clan and listened to the rest of what Sparrowstar had to say. Rainpaw had run out, so that was being handled, good. Then the warning of patrols being incomplete or not reported... not so good.
I won't ignore a patrol call anymore! she had already decided this, but she still felt the need to repeat it for herself. Then the rogue issue- well, its not much of an issue now- was addressed. The large orange and white classic tabby Maine Coon nodded, promising ThunderClan she'd keep an eye out for rogues.
Once the meeting was dismissed, she got up and left the meeting.
