Rabbitail lowered her head into the opening of the nursery, bobbing slightly from the weight of the moss hanging from her jaws. Her green eyes were illuminated by the shadows in the den as they danced from one kit to the next. She felt a soft purr of amusement rumble in her throat from the scene in front of her. One grey striped tomkit was looking over at his mother with his head tilted quizzically asking her if the thrush she had just devoured was a badger. Another ginger furred kit was sitting looking troubled, and yet two others were clearly making up for some incident by hugging it out.

Kits will always be just kits. She felt the warmth in her heart give way to more taciturn thoughts. It was the clans responsibility to make sure they grew up properly, in adherence to the warrior code. Rabbittail dropped the moss in front of her so that she was free to speak. "Why don't we get you out of that old bedding Hollowmist," The cream furred warrior ventured in a stern voice. "I can show the kits how to do it, they look like they could use a good distraction. They will be learning to do it soon as apprentices anyway, the early bird gets the worm as they say."

She felt her white tipped ears attempting to lie more flatly as a slight unease gripped her stomach but she forced them to keep standing up straight. She hoped the loner would accept her offer of help, she couldn't avoid feeling wary though. Rabbitail would never understand why Twilightstar kept allowing non clan cats to join. I guess it doesn't really matter as long as cats like myself are here to guide them. The she-cats thoughts steadied her as she waited for Hollowmists reply.
