Slatestripe was lying in the clearing, about to go off into a sweet, dream-filled abyss for his afternoon nap. Just as he was dozing off, he heard a lot of yowling coming from Pikestar’s den. This piqued his curiosity, and he sat up. He could make out a few words here and there. Gosh, he was glad he wasn’t that cat.
