The first cat gave an answer Jay obviously considered rather obnoxious and entitled. To own the land, the earth under a cat's paws? That could not be claimed like a simple piece of prey, and now they also said they owned the plants that sprouted out of it? His evening blue gaze lingered on the first one as he secretly wondered what kind of place and under what kind of mindset these cats were brought out if they were led to believe they were the sole owners and masters of organisms and lands in that way.
But he wasn't given much time to think as a second cat spoke, this one much calmer, and Jay's ears pricked with curiosity as he listened. 'Medicine cats' 'Herb' 'Yarrow'. Interesting words... And a part of him wanted to ask more questions, but the other part reminded him how uncomfortable speaking with other cats could be. But then again... One main reason he disliked talking was the lack of a good subject, but with his curiosity sparked, there was something good to talk about.
He leaned forward somewhat, abandoning the White Flyflower and fixating his gaze on the cat, completely ignoring and forgetting about the youngest cat in the process. "What's a... medicine cat?" He had put the pieces together to understand that herb was another word for plant or flowers, and Yarrow was what they called it, but a medicine cat, what they maybe a doctor of sorts...
