The young she-cat listened to her denmate patiently, her ears perked with interest in what he had to say.
Not his mentor... thought Sharppaw knew what to do with his claws in a spar... well, I guess it's my job to remind Beastwatcher that he should talk to the apprentice regardless of if he knew what he was getting into or not. Ugh... now I understand why Sparrowstar and Copperfire get easily irritated when a job isn't done or isn't done right...
"Alright... well, I guess you need a bit of a reminder. I won't be so friendly if I catch you sparring an apprentice and they get injured like Sharppaw did, so I suggest you listen to me carefully, Beastwatcher," she huffed before continuing. "You are a warrior, he is an apprentice. Regardless of his answer to your question or suggestion to spar, you need to remind him that no claws are to be used. Either of you- or even
both of you could get seriously injured. StarClan was merciful with you. I hope you remember my words the next time you suggest a sparring match with a Clanmate."
She then followed his gaze to the medicine den and sat down, now feeling she got her point across to the older warrior, "Go in there and make sure Sharppaw will heal. Stay out of Sundust and Rosepaw's way, though. Afterward, I want you to speak to Sparrowstar yourself and own up to your mistake in front of her. Got it?"
There, at least she would help her Clanmate be a little more mature and think about his mistake. Flameheart had made a couple of mistakes in her life, once when she was a kit and once when she was an apprentice, but now that she was a warrior, it was a way to refresh herself and start over becoming a role model for kits and apprentices alike.
