Flameheart stayed silent as Beastwatcher and Sparrowstar finished up the discussion with Sharppaw's situation and dipped her head in confirmation of her leader's question. There's a lot to be covered... Her pink nose twitched as she organized all the mental notes she took before coming inside the warm den the tan and brown she-cat slept in. Right... one thing at a time...

"There's a lot I wish to discuss... Foxpaw, for one. I've been helping her train because her mentor apparently hasn't been doing anything. Cardinalspice has seemed to have gone missing, but regardless, even before Cardinalspice left ThunderClan, Foxpaw hasn't gotten any training until she came to me. I taught her how to climb trees before coming here to inform you of her lack of training."

"Not only that, but I also had to scold both Galekit and Blazingpaw. It seemed they got into some sort of insult war and they both got carried away. When I stepped in to intervene, Galekit was upset and crying. I scolded both of them and took Galekit back to Rainfall after he apologized. Blazingpaw, however, refused to apologize and sprinted off to StarClan knows where."

While we're discussing, I should bring my family up... she paused for a moment before continuing to allow Sparrowstar a moment to think about all these instances.

"And... before all this, I discovered I had family in ThunderClan," she sighed. "Deadflame's my father. He told me all about my relatives while we were on a walk. My niece is Lotuskit and my nephew is Beankit. They're the son and daughter of my older brother, Jack, who I think we should watch out for. He's dangerous from what Deadflame said and murdered my two littermates. While we're on the subject... Deadflame left ThunderClan. He wanted to live with my other brother, Echo, instead of becoming an elder."

The news of Deadflame would probably come as a shock to the older ThunderClanner, just as it had for Flameheart, but she decided to move the conversation forward because she didn't want to linger too long in her emotions once again like she had when talking with Sootfur about it all.

"Lotuskit and Beankit are the only blood relatives I have here in ThunderClan. Would it be possible if, when the time comes... I can mentor one of them?" the young classic tabby Maine Coon looked at her paws before continuing. "It's the least I can do, I want them to grow up responsible and loyal, I don't want them to end up like their father or grandfather. ThunderClan deserves to have good warriors, and I believe I can contribute to ThunderClan by mentoring one of my relatives. My father brought me here when I was a kit, I believe this could be one of the ways I pay my debt to ThunderClan. As a thank you."

This was a strange request to make, especially since the young warrior hadn't been a warrior for very long. In fact, she was just now coming up on her second moon of warriorhood. I suspect it'll feel strange for quite some time, being a warrior, but everyone must've felt like this at least once.

"My father broke the code by taking a kittypet as a mate. He broke the code by abandoning ThunderClan when we needed him the most. My brother is a murderer and probably feared by cats who live around him since, according to Deadflame, he calls himself Jack o' Lantern. My mother abandoned me after my littermates were killed, which is why Deadflame brought me here. I want to change the rule-breaking history of my family and form it into something I can be proud of. By mentoring my niece or nephew, I can do that."
Well... that was certainly quite a bit to report.

Blazingpaw seemed to be developing into a rather problematic character... Perhaps she'd need to speak with Copperfire about an appropriate intervention since he was assigned to the young tom. And the--honestly, quite surprising--revelation regarding Deadflame's apparent abandonment of his clan was a truly unfortunate development.

Blinking briefly as she mulled over the in-depth report, she swiped a tongue over her muzzle before responding.

"We will certainly keep an eye out for this 'Jack' character. If he is as dangerous as you say, I would prefer any potential meetings to be with multiple warriors rather than solo interactions," she started, flicking her tail out behind her. "And, while I'm certainly happy that you have learned of your blood-kin in Thunderclan I am sorry that things have ended up so complicated. No matter your kin, the warriors of this clan will be here for you Flameheart. I do not wish for you to doubt that."

Onto the apprenticeship request.

"Perhaps once Lotuskit has reached the appropriate age you can train her. I am certain that you will be a good influence on the both of them; just look at how proactive you have been around camp."

This new warrior was certainly making waves; a trait that Sparrowstar deeply appreciated.

When Sparrowstar spoke her gaze snapped right back up again, further narrowed. "There's no issue," she managed to say without hissing. "I'd already talked to Shallowshiver, Cinderpaw, and Cindersky about this. Might as well be your turn, before I ask for what I need."

She gathered her words again before beginning. They came a bit easier than last time, perhaps because she knew Sparrowstar much less personally. "I know you still believe I'm a tom. Everyone does, and I don't blame 'em. It's not like I've ever said anything about it. But I'm not. Never was. I'm a she-cat and I'd like for you to start referring to me as such."

Without waiting for a reaction, she barreled on, the sentences practically tumbling from her tongue in their urgency. "I'd like the whole Clan to refer to me as such. I'm sick and tired of hearing the wrong words day after day. I want to make an announcement at the next meeting about it." Something edged with sharp determination entered her tone, and her eyes took on an almost challenging light. "I'd like your permission but I'm just as willing to do it without."

Bumblebreak meant it. Hearing the same incorrect thing each day felt sickening, and even if Sparrowstar denied it for whatever reason(perhaps for some foolishly bigoted excuse, if she was truly as cruel as some part of Bumblebreak feared), she had no issue with barging her way up that tree.

Something told her Cindersky would have admired that.
The urgent tone way in which Bumblebreaks words poured out was almost as surprising as the content of her rapid phrases. Eyes widened slightly as the tan molly mulled over the abruptness of this announcement; desperately attempting to pull forth words of... Surprise? Humor? Acceptance? Truly she was... out of her depth here, but the least she could do was put her best paw forward and make an attempt to say something meaningful.

However, eloquence was unfortunately not her strongest trait. Clearing her throat after what seemed to have been a rather extended silence, Sparrowstar attempted a response.

"I am... I can certainly refer to you as such Bumblebreak," she stated, attempting to latch onto any sort of solid speech of acceptance as her mind whirred. "And I am sure your clanmates will be glad to know of this correction. I am--that is, I'm terribly sorry if you ever thought I'd deny you the ability to make that announcement. You are welcome to do so at the next meeting once my own announcements are complete."

Her bumbling words seemed far from adequate in her mind, but an attempt of a supportive smile grew across her muzzle.

"You deserve to feel safe and welcomed in your home, so if anyone prevents that be sure to let me know. I will not tolerate any divisions amongst our clanmates over frivolous and narrowminded beliefs."
