**Doeheart**
The lilac queen stepped out of the nursery, blinking up at the ginger tabby tom. Her stomach twisted in a knot as she recognized not Pikestar but Gingerfrost. She hadn't a single bad thought of the deputy but so much death and loss had plagued Riverclan. Doeheart didn't concern herself with clan politics but she respected her leader as the leader of her clan and the thought of losing yet another leader in so short a time was almost more than the fragile queen could bear in the moment. So she swallowed against the lump forming in her throat and laid down, drooping her belly fur over her crouching legs to keep warm and steadier as she took in slow measured breaths in an effort to keep her ears free from the ringing of worry so she could hear what Gingerfrost had to say.
