My reaction is too slow, and it costs me the life of Aislin. Already the spiders are dragging away the dead body. There is nothing I, nor anyone else can do to help her. In my minds eye, I see her sleeping body take in one last breath, then move no more.
"Teddie," I call to the masked girl.
"Come back, there is nothing you can do there."
