Quietpaw

Quietpaw listened as her father spoke, tilting her head curiously as he seemed to stumble for words. Was he nervous? The questions he was asking seemed a bit difficult to answer, and the second one made her hesitate. Did she want to admit that she was more than a bit troubled by what happened at the Thunderwillow? Even if she did, it wouldn’t do anything but worry her father, as she couldn’t explain anything. Though . . . They were family, and she didn’t want to lie to him. The small tabby gave a small, silent sigh. She may as well. She knew she wouldn’t be able to lie to a family member, she’d feel incredibly guilty if she did, and that wasn’t something she wanted to deal with right now.

She nodded to the first of his questions, and hesitated again before shaking her head to the second. It was subtle, and there was a faint trace of reluctance in it, but it was there. She brightened up at the mention of taking a walk with Thrushpelt however, and she gave him a smile and a nod at his inquiry. She did give him a faintly confused look at his mention of a heart to heart, and gestured to her mouth. How could she share things with her father if she couldn’t . . . Well . . . Talk? Even if she couldn’t though, she would be happy to listen as her father talked. It would be a one sided conversation, but that didn’t bother Quietlaw in the slightest.
