Sagepaw jumped in surprise at the screech of the leader, and his tail puffed up. Some things he doubted he'd ever get used to. The apprentice forced his fur to lie flat and crept from his spot. He promptly felt his back left paw slid out from him, though he clamped his jaw shut to keep himself from yelping in his moment of panic. After a second of somewhat undignified flailing, Sagepaw stood upright with his claws digging into the ground. He shook his head at himself, embarrassed as he made his way to the Shadowledge. The feeling dissipated as he sat carefully, not sheathing his claws. Sagepaw turned his green eyes up at the leader, wondering what the news was. Maybe it was more yowling? But Dawnstar's face didn't look yowl-y at the moment. Hmm.
