Nightdove would return to the den, holding a dark grey mouse in her mouth. She settled down at the corner of the den, and sniffed the animal before taking a bite. The metallic scent of blood filled the air. Even though her appetite wasn‘t that great, she knew she had to eat, just for the sake of her kittens. After she finished, she would lick her paws, and get comfortable. Nightdove tried to fall asleep, but the pain in her stomach wouldn’t stop. It was a light stinging, yet strong enough to keep her awake. She turned around, and smiled softly when seeing the other kittens play. Nightdove turned her head back, closer to the entrance of the den, and watched the other warriors coming back from a patrol. She lowered her look onto a little bush, near a stone, which seemed to have delicious, sweet flavor, blood red berries. Nightdove was lost in thoughts again. “Berrykit would be a beautiful name for one of my kits, wouldnt it?“, Nightdove thought out loud.
