Default Re: ThunderClan Apprentices' Den

Rainpaw

@littlelove
//Takes place after he's tended to by Sundust, capitalized letters are what Rainpaw says out loud\\

His body ached. His heart was still pounding with adrenaline, though he was . His mind was empty except for the images of the beast attacking and ripping his sister apart like it was nothing. The fear both he and Quietpaw felt was etched in his mind. He couldn't get rid of such horrid thoughts. He could've done something to save his sister, but he was frozen in fear and Rainpaw was unable to let those thoughts go as he walked into the apprentice's den. His sister's nest would now be forever empty. Her warm, small body would never be next to him again. He would never be comforted by his sister again.

Rainpaw could care less about his scars and vision in his left eye. He just wanted his sister next to him again. They were reunited maybe a moon ago, and he felt like he could throw up at any minute from how sick he was feeling, how overwhelmed he was, how desperate he was to see his sister again. Her scent flooded into his nostrils as he approached his nest and tears began to flow once more. In a few moons, her scent would be gone. I miss you already, sis... Unable to think about the whole attack much more, the young tabby went over to his sister's nest and started merging it with his.

He surrounded his nest with the moss from Quietpaw's nest, lining it along the edges so he could have his sister's comforting presence around him. I promised I would stay with you, Quietpaw. I intend to keep that promise, no matter how hard it gets for me. You are the best sister I could ever ask for... It didn't take him very long to flop on the nest, not caring to tuck his tail next to his body. He did not care to clean his pelt prior to laying down either. He couldn't. He had to honor her memory in any way he thought possible. Otherwise, it would feel like he was not doing her any justice. I'll come after you, beast. One day. My sister will not have died in vain. I will hunt you down and kill you. She saved my life and I intend to keep her memory alive. Your pelt will line my nest.

A few shaky breaths later, the mud-brown tabby tom fell into a steady slumber. However, his slumber did not remain peaceful for long. Flashes of red and yowls of terror echoed in his ears, his widened eyes remained on his sister and the beast as it tore her apart. "N...o! NO!" he yowled and felt his legs carry him forward and moved towards the beast's long orange and white snout. His claws scraped at its whiskers. "Get away from her!! GET OUT OF HERE!!" he snarled and began coughing on blood that seemed to bubble up into his mouth. His breathing became rapid and his ears felt hot. His head was aching with the pain he had gone through during the attack. "QUIETPAW!!!!"
