At some point, he had just started running. Running until his lungs felt as if they may collapse and then pushed forward. Cowtuft refused to believe the lies sprouted to him, but it didn't change the fact what had happened - had happened. Whether or not he was a fraud, maybe the signs had been there all along. Maybe he had just wanted to be ignorant.
Cowtuft's dreams had been crushed in front of him.
He burst through the entrance, tears flooding down his cheeks and wetting his fluffy fur. He gasped for breath, whimpering as he looked around wildly. His heart and blood pounding in his ears. Where.. Where was Fallownose? He needed to tell them, he didn't want to be a liar.
He pushed himself to stand in the middle of the clearing, spinning around helplessly.
With his panic at heights, everyone .. blended. He knew these cats, but he could not put a name to their face. Even when he desperately needed to, all he could do was stand helplessly. Maybe. maybe he really was pathetic.

A cat bursting into camp caught Fallownose's attention, and he immediatly hurried over to their side as he realized who it was.
"Cowpaw! Hey, Cowpaw, what's wrong?" he murmured, lifting his tail to try and lay it comfortingly over the medicine cat's shoulders.

Fallownose had been soundly asleep in the warriors' den when a commotion broke out. At first, he had thought it was part of his dream, but when it became clear it wasn't, he heaved himself up and padded out of the den to see what was happening. What the deputy saw made his blood boil.
The slate-gray tom padded over towards the group of cats, his fur spiked and tail lashing back and forth aggressively. He stopped in front of Aspenstrike and the ShadowCan warrior, preventing them from leaving.
"I think not. I don't know if this is how you ran things back when you were ThunderClan's leader, but in WindClan we don't let enemy warriors just leave without knowing what they're doing. As for the rest of you, why the HELL didn't one of you come to get me or Twilightstar the second an intruder was in our camp?" he growled, yellow-amber eyes glaring in a cold fury as they swept over the cats there, before finally landing on the bleeding ShadowClan warrior.
"You have one chance to explain what in StarClan's name you're doing here, or the only thing Dawnstar will get back is your dead body," Fallownose hissed, jaw bared in a menacing snarl as he awaited an answer.
