Cowtuft looked up to Fallownose with watery eyes, oh stars, he truly was a fraud. That was the case here, to have someone worry about him when he was everything but good? For a brief moment, he wanted to sink into the comfort the deputy had offered but, nonetheless, time was still going on. Cowtuft offered no explanation, only stomping his paws to grab Fallownose's attention and scurry offer to Twilightstar's den.

Perhaps if Starclan could take pity, she would be there.

And she was, at least, someone was. He stepped to the side to allow Fallownose room to enter if he had followed before jumping into a rushed explanation. Ears pinned to his skull, "Starclan - Starclan didn't send me the prophecy.. I, there was no prophecy? At least.. to what I think I - I don't know, I don't know.. there was this.. this tom! He, golly, a cruel individual.. he - he said I had made.. a deal with him, " Cowtuft's eyebrows furrowed together, his gestures quick and wild to the point it was unlikely for either of the two to truly begin to follow him.

"I did not.. I promise, I did not.. he - he visited my dreams but.. I did not know it was him? I, " He was still trying to grasp what had happened himself. Taking a huge gulp of breath and stilling his signs for a mere moment, his shoulders shook with fear. Of himself.

He looked up, "..I received my full name, " because he had remembered he hadn't .. been all so clear. With a shaky breath, "Cowtuft, " he spoke softly, his voice filled with an unrighteous guilt. He had gotten his full name but at what cost?
