Lily looked into Luz's hazel-brown eyes, her own amber-yellow eyes still wide. She felt heat start to rise on her cheeks. She... Really wants to talk with me. Not make fun of me, not push me to the side and say how much better she is then me, no. She really wants to make a conversation with me like we are friends. Lily realized that she had been staring into Luz's eyes for about a minute. She quickly looked away and cleared her mind to stop the heat from spreading to her face and make it go away. Her face returns to normal. "S-so, um..." Lily started walking again, trying to think of some way to start a sentence. "Uh... Um... I, no... Um... Uhm..." Her face got red with embarrassment slightly, and she got even redder when she heard others whispered rather loudly about her and how she was embarrassing Luz on purpose to make her go away. Lily buried her face in her books again, her eyes scrunched shut. "No! That's not what I want to do! How am I supposed to talk with this popular girl if I can't even make a sentence to start with!?" Lily didn't understand Luz well enough to know her personality.
