"Sure you were, and probably off almost dying too huh?"
Elkkit bit back, figuratively, though against very little. He blatantly ignored the brief flash of hurt that had come across Firekit's face, no wanting to give in to temptation. She abandoned them, she made a choice.
"We don't need a dad we've got mom.."
Pissed, Elkkit muttered those few words as he sat down, naturally looking broody and glum. Still, his ear gave a light twitch hearing his sister mention she was taught something by some stranger - the idiot, it could've been dangerous! But Elkkit would lie if he said he wasn't curious. His defences were up, but if Firekit tried to get closer again he wouldn't budge again, letting her invade his personal space which is when he grumbled his little question:
"...Taught what?"
As if he cared. He did - he was curious.
