✦a strange blue-black tomcat with navy eyes.

the dark-furred tom watched the molly escort the kit to safety, and once they were far enough that he considered them relatively safe, he looked back at the violent she-cat. his navy blue gaze was as calm as a pool of water and midnight, and equally as deep. he made no movement, no motion to attack, nor even speak.

he just watched her.
calm, cool, and collected.

“why so defensive?” asked the tom, accent thick, his words rolled off his tongue with a sort of dignity and eloquence most wild cats didn’t have. “i’m not going to tear your throat out, nor do i want to.” his tail rested around his flank. if he was good at anything, it was observing others, watching for minute details that painted a bigger picture. and right now, he could tell from her tenseness and the way she shifted to have her paws out of sight that she was either going to go for him, or expected him to pounce. well, if she’d lunge for him, rest assured he was ready. but if it were the latter, there was no need for fear because the tall, dark tom only saw need for violence to protect oneself and others.

he tilted his head a bit, and carefully said “i think you’re afraid.”
