Honeykit had entirely not been expecting it. Had not at all been prepared for Thrushfur's voice to ring across camp as he called a Clan meeting. She wasn't naive. Not anymore, not after what had happened last meeting, and Honeykit was entirely familiar with death and disappearance, but still .. it was odd not to hear Sparrowstar's call. Hm. Speaking of Sparrowstar, Honeykit wondered if Thrushfur.. if Thrushfur was now Thrushstar? That was probably the reason for this.. this meeting, but still, she couldn't help but perk up at the prospect of being named an apprentice. That had to happen this time, right? She was no longer the absolute idiot she'd been before. Now she'd done all her classes. She'd behaved for once, in the futile hope that maybe if she reached apprenticeship without any more mishaps, her father would be proud of her. He'd love her, he had to love her! She was his daughter, she wanted to make him proud for once.
