For a brief moment, his body went limp as he fell unconscious from a combination of shock and the shaking. Just in time for the dog to drop him like a stuffed toy it'd suddenly had lost interest in.
Lambpaw landed harsh on the ground but his body limp and loose, it saved any limbs from breaking or dislocating from the fall. it mightve not been high but compared to a dog, lambpaw was nothing but a snack.
the dogs attention would no doubt turn to Goatsneeze next, crazed by the taste of blood in its maw.

goatsneeze === > OPEN FOR INTERFERENCE
Relief was all Goatsneeze felt as he watched the dog finally drop his son to the earth. Lambpaw was bleeding, and unconscious, but was no longer a target. Goatsneeze released his grip on the beast, blood tainting his tongue. He fell back to all four paws, coat bushed out so that he looked twice his size as he walked slowly backwards with a furious snarl. His one goal was to get the dog away from his son.
The dog lunged. Goatsneeze allowed himself to be bowled over, even as fangs sink into his shoulder and vision-whitening pain sears through him. His hind claws rake desperately at the beast's underbelly, scoring through fur and flesh, but jaws of death don't release him. Through the pain he managed to howl, "Someone get this starsdamned thing OFF OF ME!"
