Russetpaw was still reeling from her apprentice ceremony. She was now an apprentice, and mister Thrushfurstar was her mentor. He had chosen her! Her! She would be trained by the leader of the Clan! A low purr rumbled in her throat. She hoped Mama and Sandpaw were proud of her. Russetpaw would definitely be sure to talk to her brother later- she wanted to check in on him privately to make sure he was okay. He had appeared rather... downcast, it seemed, and she wanted to make sure she could help her brother in any way she could.

Left in her thoughts, Russetpaw didn't notice as another apprentice approached her. The sudden sound of a voice caused her to jump with a squeak, head snapping around to stare with wide yellow eyes. Silverpaw, was her name? Russetpaw remembered hearing it during one of the Clan meetings. Regardless, she had caught the newly-named apprentice off guard. She cleared her throat, ears burning with embarrassment.

"Th-Thank you!" she squeaked, "I can't wait to begin my training! Have you been outside of camp yet? What is it like outside?" Her eyes were wide with excitement, former embarrassment replaced with her need to know the answers to her questions.
