Rabbitchatter laid flat on his belly, face to face with little Houndkit. He, like Ashkit, seemed to be lacking on the friendship part. Which quite honestly was such an awful thing. Kittens needed each other to work out their motor skills, build friendship, play, learn teamwork. There was a nasty epidemic of loneliness. At least that’s what Rabbit concluded.

“Naw’ I don’t think sa.” the tom interjected, his eyebrows knit thoughtfully together. “I’m yer friend ain’t I? And-“ the warrior was interrupted by another voice. He turned to see Puddlekit. A warm feeling touched his chest and he sat upright with a purr.

“See now? You an’ Puddlekit.” he mused waving an invitation to the small tom kit to join at his side. That’s what he was talking about! No friends? Make a friend. Nice an simple just like that. The tabby turned to scan the immediate den, seeing some elders retreat to the far corners and Mossykit all by themselves.

“What bout you there? Mossykit? Why don’ you come over ere and we’ll all play a game? How’s that sound?”
