Gray fur dappled with flecks of fresh, green moss glowed in the partial sun that managed to sneak through the thick forest canopy and broken clouds, surprisingly clean in the areas were moss had not firmly gripped. Verdant eyes kept focused on the warriors' den, a mixture of concern for his sick mentor and boredom washing through him. A part of him wanted to go into the den and visit the black furred enforcer, but he knew Fuzzy didn't like it when non-warriors went into the warrior sleeping area. And if Fuzzy was already sick, there was no way he was going to sour his mood even further by going against his instructions. Nope. He was a good apprentice. So he stayed put.
But. But! The thing was. Staying put? It was so dreadfully boring! He'd gotten next to no training done, Fuzzy's illness hitting up right when his apprenticeship had started. Gratefully, Auntie Larky had taken him out hunting but... he couldn't pester her to go out hunting all the time! She had her own apprentice, after all. Yep yep. It would be mean of him to steal Auntie Larky all day and not let Hollowpaw get any training in herself! Mousepaw was many a things, but he was not mean! By golly, no. Just bored, never mean.
Tail twitching, the stocky tom wondered if there was anything he could get around to doing around camp. He'd cleaned his nest recently, no need to waste materials on a new build for that... And Wrenny, Shader, and Darky weren't around, or at least... he hadn't seen them. Darky was probably training. He was an older apprentice, after all. He was probably doing all sorts of advanced training stuff. Oh! Oh oh oh! Maybe he could ask Darky to teach him some new things later! Darky probably knew all sorts of things he didn't. See, he could get super smart ideas sometimes too, mmhmmm.
Unfortunately, that did not solve his current dilemma. On how nothing was going on
now. Unless... maybe he could bother some other warrior? Ask them if he could tag along? He'd be quiet as a mouse, yes yes. Anything to go out for at least a walk! His mind made up, Mousepaw's eyes glinted with renewed vigor, his gaze still upon the warriors' den entrance as he awaited the next cat to exit, fully intent on seeing if he could nab a lesson or three. Fuzzy would probably be super pleased once he was better and learned that Mousepaw had not just been sitting around waiting for him to get healthy, in any case. Then they could move on to the super duper advanced stuff the tom knew once he was up for training again!
