A portion of the explanation sort of reminded her of Violetfreckle and herself... but she and Violetfreckle were different. Violetfreckle was nothing but a fishy nuisance, not some secret sweetheart she longed to meet up with in the middle of the night, or whatever the hell was going on here. Her ears twitched with blatant disappointment and thinly veiled anger. "Your carelessness puts this partially on you," she said flatly. "Give me the name of the WindClanner you'd met up with."

The she-cat held the leader's stare, noting the anger but giving it little consideration. There was no point in speculating where this was going or what the future held for her, the course was set and it'd be what it would be. She had choices that could potentially change what would be but it was only a possibility and she was still under the curse of caring about one more cat. She still wasn't sure she knew what loyalty was or what it looked like but she knew that she didn't need anybody else around her being brought down by this. Blackfir was already dead and she had been caught at the scene. Maybe it was naïve to believe she had any power in keeping everybody else out of this but at least it wouldn't be coming from her mouth.
"I cannot do that. I am sure you understand why." Petalflilght glanced pointedly back at the warrior that had escorted her back to camp,
Gentledoe, as she was now focusing on carrying out Bumblestar's direction.
