As gently as he could, the young tom set the limp kit's body on the ground and sat down. For a moment, he imagined the kit being his sister, Bluekit, and what he would do to fight whatever (or whoever) killed her. Looking at the grieving mother, he sighed.
"You know... when I lost my sisters and my mother... I felt like the whole world was against me. And I may not know what it feels like to lose a kit, but I know what it feels like to lose family. I know, as their mother, you would do the same as I would and want the pain to stop... you would want revenge, even against StarClan." he gulped before continuing.
"I just want you to know- you're not alone in feeling the pain you do. And your feelings are valid, never forget that. Just know... the kits you lost will always remember how much you loved them. How much the Clan loved them."
Wiping the tears that were starting to form around his eyes, Crowpaw let out a mournful yowl.
"THUNDERCLAN, COME GATHER TO MOURN THE LOSS OF A KIT!" That was... okay, right? He had no idea how to call the Clan together, so he hoped he wouldn't be criticized for using the wrong call. Even if he was criticized, he'd smack whoever it was on the head for being rude during the vigil of a dead Clanmate. Dovefluff was mourning and didn't deserve to hear a rude comment.
