Pumpkinpatch came trotting in with two dead apprentices, one Shadowclan... The other one, Galepaw. She made a beeline for Bumblestar.

"Bumblestar!" the calico warrior shouted, "I found Galepaw and a Shadowclan apprentice dead on the Riverclan side of our territory, they drowned." Pumpkinpatch brought the pair to Bumblestar.

"After I pay my respects to Galekit and his family, I will take the other apprentice to Shadowclan if that's alright?" she asked quickly. Her fur was soaked with water from two apprentices.

Ripplepaw froze. He saw Galekit. No Galepaw. Galepaw. NO. NO. NO. NO.

"GALEPAW NO!" he wailed like a kit. He lost his whole family now. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. It couldn't be. But it was true. He was now alone...
He felt like a baby as he dragged himself over to his soaked brother. His green eyes filled with tears and he sobbed on his brother. Ripplepaw's heart shattered, his brother had been there with him, just those two. Now he was gone.
