Fudge wasn't surprised when he wasn't called out for patrol, yet he still couldn't help the gulp that escaped him. Was he already being seen as useless? He hoped not. He never wanted to go back to the city. He had almost died there. Starved there. And no housefolk wanted him anyway. He wasn't warm and cuddly enough for their tastes. Didn't conform to their every will to be worthy of being fed and given some shelter by them. No matter how much he'd looked like them, he and his littermates had always differed in that regard.
Schooling his face into its usual look of disinterest, the three moon old apprentice stood, giving one cautious look across the clearing once more. No one seemed to be looking for him. Maybe Tigerface wasn't here? He wouldn't know. He didn't know anyone. Part of that whole not being warm and cuddly thing, he supposed. If he had nothing to do with these cats, he really didn't see a reason to get to know them. A fact that hadn't changed, but unfortunately he desperately seemed to need to get to know Tigerdefinitelyhadasecondnamehere if he wanted to get anywhere with that whole self sustenance thing he'd been hoping to get in this place.
Flattening his ears for only a second, the chocolate point kit headed towards the nursery. He knew enough to know that he no longer belonged there. He was no longer identified by the -kit in his clan given name. But there were some things in there that he preferred taking with him to his new nest. Namely a red feather, a crumpled up, dead flower, and two little moss figures that had been his constant meal companions since his fateful encounter with Lamb.
