Huh, seemed not a lot of warriors wanted to help search for territory. Sharpclaw, at least, had an excuse as to why he couldn't participate. He had hoped Mapleface would've volunteered instead of taking his offer literally. She took it literally of course, but strangely tried to take Blazepaw on as her apprentice at the last second. Seriously?

What could she have hoped to teach the little waste of space? He wouldn't be able to pick the ticks off an elder's back even with a lifetime of her training. Her attempt proved futile, as Bumblestar coldly shut her down, only affirming her earlier option to join Sharpclaw in getting rid of the useless apprentice.

He turned his attention to Bumblestar as she finished speaking to Mapleface.

"Ugh, fine. She can come too. But it's not like I need her to tag along. I would have been just fine on my own," he grumbled. Sharpclaw wasn't happy to do this with the stubborn queen. She would only drag this out longer than it needed to be. Plus, he was more than capable of doing this himself. He didn't need her help for this, but since Bumblestar allowed it Sharpclaw would just have to put up with her.

With a look of growing annoyance, he turned to Mapleface. "C'mon, let's get a move on. The sooner this little brat is gone the sooner I can get back to real clan duties." He scanned the cats in the clearing, searching for Blazepaw. Then he found him sitting in the back, oblivious to what was about to happen to him. Sharpclaw stormed over and bent down, attempting to grab him by the scruff of his neck.

He couldn't expect the deaf and blind apprentice to follow him and decided carrying him was the better option.
