Owlpaw followed Swiftheart and Milknose to Sedgewater Valley, taking note of the heavily swollen river. He reminded himself not to stray too close to it, and kept his paws a safe distance away from its strong currents. He wasn't looking forward to another drowning experience.
The ebony apprentice went to work marking WindClan's side of the border, mimicking the way the older warriors were doing it. He hoped that this patrol wouldn't be a violent one. He'd heard about the growing tensions between his and RiverClan through idle conversation. Plus the occasional story of a peaceful border patrol leading to a skirmish of teeth and claws. Since Owlpaw wasn't well equipped for battle, he would make sure to flee back to camp at the first sign of trouble.
