A meeting? Springpaw’s blurred mind surged as the young calico molly took in the short notice of a meeting being called out, her oriental-shaped ears averting upwards as the young calico popped her head out of the medicine cat den, oceanic hues darting up towards the Stormcrest; she could easily see the deep, darken depths of the succumbing sun contrasting behind the large stone, making it a deep, fiery orange. The sky itself almost looked like it was a mixture of both pink and orange, easily seen from the naked eye. Sure, the sunset was spectacular to be seen from the visible eye itself, but why would Bumblestar feel the need to put a meeting up so late like this? Was there something wrong that she felt like was needed to be discussed? That last question almost brought a weird pang to throb throughout the young apprentice, her paws uncomfortably flexing against the warmth of the coarse dirt beneath her paws, her claws causing minor disturbance towards the ground below as the dirt slowly began to well up into small piles. What if it was going to be about the upcoming war between ShadowClan and ThunderClan? Stars, that’ll possibly be most likely.
Twitching an ear, the oriental feline slowly trekked out from the darker depths of the medicine den, squinting her eyes against the bright lights if the sunset creeping around the Stormcrest. Yikes, okay, that was unbelievably bright and stung like the absolute devil. Shaking her head, the calico trekked her way towards a shaded spot within the clearing beneath the Stormcrest, trying her hardest not to accidentally move somewhere where the bright light of the sun was going to hit her in the face. That was something that she absolutely didn’t want. Nonetheless, the calico apprentice focused up towards the center of the Stormcrest, waiting silently to hear what Bumblestar had to say to everyone in the clearing.

DEAR GOD MUDHOUND WAS BLIND! THE VENGEFUL SUN WAS TAKING ITS REVENGE FOR ALL THE RAYS THE WARRIOR HAD SOAKED UP IN THEIR SUN BASKING AND WAS BLINDING THE MAINE COON!!!! OH THE HUMANITY! THE TRAGEDY OF IT ALL......
Yes the tripod could technically unblind themselves by looking away, shut up. Do you really think Mudhound is the type of cat to realize there were simple solutions to 'dire' problems.
No.
So there the dumbass was, venturing to the stormcrest when a beam of light hit them full face and blinded them. A normal cat might; close their eyes, shield their face, move out of the light, ect but this was Mudhound. Instead they were wandering around failing bumping into clanmates left and right with the occasional yelp as they tried to blink the light away. Of course, this failed.
This failed them all the way across the clearing until they nearly (or did, with Mudhounds bulk it was sometimes hard to tell when they ran into someone) collided with Springpaw.
"Oops sorry! Ive been blinded and didnt see you! Uuuum do you know where Drizzlecloud or Springpaw is, I cant be blinded forever I need to see!" Seemingly realizing something the warriors eyes (still overwhelmed by light and borderline sightless) squinted and they sniffed the air. Immediately the warrior brightened (lol) and beamed (LOL) chirping a relieved
"Springpaw! Oh thank starclan its you! Ive been blinded, help!"
....It was fairly obvious to see what was causing the blindness given the warriors face was still in the intense setting sun, and that there was literally not a single thing else wrong with them.
Well besides an obvious complete lack of brains, there could be a rock in that skull instead of thoughts it'd explain a lot.
