Sprucekit fluffed out his chest and let out a shrill yell. He quickly got himself up and whipped around to Batpaw with a quick bap on his muzzle.

"Heh! I'd like to see you try!" He mewed proudly "My momma says I'm big and strong for my age." He bares his teeth in a way he thinks comes off as menacing (it isn't) and lets out a very adorable growl.

Feeling satisfied with his "threat", he sits back on his haunches to look the apprentice in the eye, wordlessly challenging him to.. something? A staring contest perhaps. Whatever it was, the kit seemed determined to win.

Oh? Was that supposed to be some kind of scary grin or something? What a stupid little rat. Cackling once more, the bat-cat leans in closer with orange eyes wide and wide grin painting onto his features. Cheshire grin accompanied by his longer canines-- normally they poked out a little bit which definitely made him look wayyyyy more menacing-- he tilts his head at the young cat. Was he trying to freak him out? Maybe just a little bit.

"Oh, really? How much does your mom know, really, huh? Bet she's never even seen real power... Bet she's done nothing but sit in camp all pretty and lame." Another bout of laughter as he continues to think on it. Really, this little thing? Big and strong? Hahahaaaaa! How stupid was that queen, anyway? "That's a good one though, Sprucey. If you're big and strong that must make me some kind of monster, huh?"

Slowly, his tail begins to lash back and forth, upper half of his body lowering into a crouch as if he intends to pounce...
