Bumblestar locked eyes with Hawk, tail twitching irritably, as the warrior showed up. "Finally," she growled. "Took you long enough, was starting to think I was gonna have to kick you out."

Clearing her throat, she glanced back at her Clan. "Usually when I let outsiders join our ranks, I make 'em start from the bottom and work their way up, but Hawk [ @Sklee ] proved to already possess a decent skill set. He'll be joining us as Webdusk, full name 'n warrior rank. Wildtwist [ @Bean_The_Cat ], I'm puttin' you in charge of making sure he knows how to climb. Come talk to me once you've gone over that, wanna make sure it's done."

There wasn't really a good segue into what she wanted to talk about next, so she'd deal with the awkward switch.

"Movin' on. As I've said in past meetings, I'm lookin' for new Hornets. But Asterdance has recently gone missing, so that means another slot's just emptied up." A mixture of concern and irritation made her upper lip twitch. It wasn't like Asterdance to just vanish like this and she hoped they were alright.

"That being said - I've been keepin' an eye on current Hornets and promising candidates. After Asterdance disappeared, that left Gentledoe 'n Spiderthroat to keep it going. You can add Sharpclaw to that list now." She tossed the younger tom a glance. "He's been nothing but promising. And in addition to that, Spiderthroat, you're the new Head Hornet. Keep Gentledoe 'n Sharpclaw in check, and make sure any future Hornets stay in line."

Was she springing this on him pretty suddenly? Sure. Did she care? Not really.
