Default Re: ThunderClan Stormcrest

~ Lioncrest ~

Now that was the call of a leader not to be messed with.

Golden ears shot up as Bumblestar's barking call echoed out over the clearing, and Lioncrest was quick to move (only limping slightly from the wounds on his shoulder) to a front row seat before the stone. Amber eyes widened slightly at the sight of the bodies laid out before them, before he settled into a sitting position and surveyed the scene. Two kits. One by age, and one by maturity. Dead. As for the reason, he was certain the fuming she-cat looming above the crowd would enlighten them all to shortly. Cracklekit's kin were quick to race to his side, mourning as they should, but Mapleface's rage was hard to deny... A tragedy it certainly was, and grief was to be allowed and shared, but jumping to conclusions would do no cat any good.

A fact that certain clanmates should already know. Especially considering their experience and warrior status.

Redkit was scooped away from their deceased kin relatively quickly, but the queen and Eveningdance still stared up towards their leader and clanmates in anger. A challenge at a time like this? Mousebrain strategies from a warrior who should be much more capable of rational thought. Letting out a low growl, the large tom pulled himself up to his feet and forcibly maneuvered himself between the base of the Stormcrest and the mourners.

"Stand down Eveningdance," he rumbled, voice low enough to be heard only by the cats he stood next to. Ignoring the strain in his injured shoulder as he moved to become a physical barrier between his clanmate and his leader, amber eyes seared a further challenge into the older warrior's mis-matched gaze. "Rash actions are liable to cause further harm rather than good here, and accusations will sow nothing but seeds of contention and anarchy. Two things liable to have you 'loose your ears', as Bumblestar so aptly put it."

If Eveningdance couldn't pull it together, he was going to get himself (and potentially Mapleface) in hot water, and Lioncrest wasn't about to simply give him the opportunity to continue spitting challenges up at his leader. If he refused to move back on his own, he was confident a few well-placed shoves could do the trick...

~ Mistheart ~

Grey head poking into camp, bits of dried leaves dusting her pelt and a rather nice bright yellow leaf clutched in her jaws, the small warrior merely widened her eyes slightly at a... frighteningly familiar scene playing out in the clearing of her home. Sure, the camp was different, a different leader (one of her peers) sat atop the ceremonial meeting-place, and different cats milled and muttered throughout the clearing, but the scene was the same... Always the same.

Bodies in the clearing. Death to the young. Callousness and inappropriate or assuming responses from her clanmates.

Slinking through the entrance (and merely hoping no cat was able to spot her and her pretty [but gosh darn bright] leaf), Mistheart attempted to maneuver herself around the camp walls before plopping herself into a shadowed area where she could observe from a distance. She wanted nothing to do with whatever chaos would burst forth, but she had to stay and find out what happened... If only to slink out after and attempt to spruce up Willow's Rise for a few fresh graves.
