He ought to thank Larchflame for offering to tag along. There was no way in StarClan he would be able to drag Cracklekit's corpse alone, let alone bury him.

"Do what you want, just know that you'll be doin' most of the diggin'. But if ya ask me, that snake don't deserve the honor of a proper burial. I'd rather leave 'em for the crows," he stole a glance at Mapleface, wondering if his words would set her off into another emotional tangent-- or worse; make her want to tag along too. He hoped to StarClan she wouldn't.

An unfamiliar voice caught his attention and Sharpclaw felt himself turn without thinking. He cooly observed the tom in front of him, taking note of the way he held himself as if prepared to fight. "Go choke on some dung, who do ya think your talkin' to?" he growled. He hated demanding cats so much.
