The leader's words wash over them, angry, indignant, and Pebblepaw wants to cry. Bumblestar was scary, especially when she's mad, and she is almost always mad at someone or something. If Pebblepaw never has to directly speak to her then it'll be too soon... Tears pricking the corner of their eyes and stressed beyond belief by the sight and disastrous tinge in the air, the grey tabby catches sight of Reedpaw and has to stop themself from practically sprinting to hide behind him. It's quiet comfort being right next to someone they trust, and Pebblepaw presses their face into his side without asking to try and hide from everything, already staring to feel calmer now that there's a familiar presence at their.

"Sorry..." they mumble, voice muffled by fur, and starting to feel bad about taking the comfort Reedpaw could provide without asking first and they pull away, yellow gaze lingering on the ground, unable to meet their brother's eyes.

Pebblepaw's presence shook Reedpaw out of his daydreaming, he could feel his sibling's heart racing as they pressed themselves into him, breathing in their scent. He wasn't like Pebble, who was visibly shaking at the moment, but his thoughts were going a couple miles an hour right now. He enjoyed the lighter tabby's warmth. Dark blue eyes gazing down softly at Pebblepaw, a light snicker escaped him as the other pulled away quickly, shame etched their features. "It's okay, you know you can always come to me," For most, it was odd seeing Reedpaw this way, soft and being a total menace, but this was he normal demeanor around his sibling, and only them. Pulling Pebblepaw closer to him, purposefully ruffling the top of their head with a dark gray paw, Reed smiles warmly at his lighter-colored counterpart.

He then turned his head back to towards the front of the crowd as he watches drama go down.
