Default Re: ThunderClan Medicine Cat's Den

Springpaw
long-furred, oriental-shaped, gray-and-orange calico molly with blue eyes; torn right ear
purrks: herbal knowledge - tier 2 | the collector | mind reader[all perm. active]

Lurking around the darker crevices of the tree den, the young healer had been contemplating. Snow white-furred paws quietly trekked along the soft, cool dirt floor, barely making a notable sound as they left faint noticeable imprints of her small paw-pads as she paced through the back of the den. Her mind buzzed as she felt herself contemplating the visible memories of the critical forms of both Lotuspaw and Leafpaw standing within the den, both caked in blood and equally critical wounds; their flesh severed and tattered judging from the recoiling stench of those foxes that held no dear mercy when attacking them. Springpaw felt her claws dig once. Twice. Three times into the soft yet cool soil beneath her rather tiny paws. Stars above, what the hell had that tom practically been thinking when he brought two, barely even old enough apprentices out to fight against beasts who could kill them just by simply snapping their small bodies in half?

The rather tiny oriental feline usually never was the type to be angry or ticked off at someone all just for a simple mistake that they caused. Naturally, she’d usually let it slide and keep a keen eye out to see if they weren’t going to make the same mistake twice. But this? This was no mistake; it was a choice that could’ve easily been avoided if Alderstep hadn’t made both of her cousins come with his patrol to fight off those foxes. Hell, when those apprentices came hobbling in here, the young calico simply couldn’t fight off her bubbling anger just by swallowing it and pushing it away to dimmer. It was practically fuming at her like raging wildfire, her tri-colored tail lashing against her flanks as her mind burned with the thought. She wasn’t going to let those apprentices die all due to a warrior's gross negligence. She could be the one taking the blow instead, not them!

Making an abrupt stop with her inadequate pacing, the calico’s ears swerved upwards as she listened towards the familiar sound of Drizzlecloud’s gray-furred paws thrummeting towards the herb storage, her tri-colored oriental-shaped head shifting to face the direction of the ticked tabby, her deep lapis-blue eyes catching a look of both concern and irritation blazing through her usually gentle jade-green hues, seemingly feeling a sharp prickle draw up her naturally long fur the longer she glanced in the direction of her mentor. Curiosity and concern dragged itself up her spine as her lips formed into words, the question helplessly clawing itself up her throat as she felt it almost inevitably slip past her lips before she stopped herself from doing so. During the midst of her pacing, she had heard voices coming from near the entrance of the den… did they have another patient? Was this one as badly injured as both Leafpaw and Lotuspaw were?

Judging from her mentor’s rather grim expression and intent gaze towards the herbs, that was seemingly likely, but who? With curiosity overshadowing her more than admonishment, the twelve moon old molly toddled over towards her mentor, glancing towards the herbs as she scooped herself down to start grabbing some as well. “Sorry for not poppin’ up earlier,” she explained, popping a head of marigold into her jaws as she used her paws to gather the other required essentials. “Just been thinking about my cousins coming back from that gruesome fox battle. Why did Alderstep make the idiotic decision to send young cats who bore very little battle training out to fight some savage animals who could’ve killed them? I’ll never know.” Voicing out her own opinions will always seem like a weird thing to her, but it wasn’t like it was going to change the fact that she was still mildly irked at what Alderstep decided to do. His choice on bringing young children wrong and almost allowing them to die because of his negligence was enough to make her blood boil.

Gathering the needed essentials that she required, she backed out from the small indented holes for their organized herb storages and casted her mentor a quick look, cocking her head forward towards the entrance of the den. “I’ll go see whoever is in here and see what I can do, alright? You can come along with me with whatever you’ll bring along and we’ll work on this together, Driz. Just like we always do.” She gave the ticked tabby a crooked smile behind the bundle of herbs that she held delicately in her jaws, focusing on her mentor for a brief second before trudging her way towards the entrance of the den, already feeling her nostrils burning against the acrid stench of blood and foxes as it reeked the medicine den, her bushy tail-tip whisking around irritably as she waltzed. How many cats were attacked by those vile creatures anyways?

Her question was bound to be answered when a bloodied Bumblestar came into view with a limp body on her back, the healer’s eyes squinting to get a clear look at the nearly unconscious figure, feeling her gut twist unsettlingly once she configured out the feline that was draped along her leader’s back. Violetfreckle. Wasn’t that one of the newer warriors that came from RiverClan? Springpaw could feel her muscles growing more and more tense the more she thought about the fox incident, and she had to practically fight against biting against the very valuable herbs that she held delicately in her jaws. She couldn’t staunch any of the storage that they had from just out of sheer irritation. She had to use them to help her clan-mates in the best way possible if she could. So, fueling her anger to get her into action, her pupils turned to narrowed slits as she approached, cautiously sniffing Violetfreckle’s mangled body carefully as she turned her head towards Bumblestar’s direction, her expression full of both concern and a mixture of urgency. “Do you have any idea on how much blood she’s lost?” She questioned, using her paws the grab the wad of cobwebs that she held by a thin stick with her claws, speedily unwrapping it before pressing it up against the nearest wound she could find closest to herself, her lapis-blue gaze laced with determination and a fierce desire to keep this molly alive.

She didn’t want to pull any stunts now, did she? Hell no. She wasn’t going to risk any of her clan-mates dying due to Alderstep’s negligence to keep a proper eye on them and even bother to help them. She wasn’t going to follow the same mistake twice.
