He jumped when a girl, at least two times his size, materialized from the mist and thick trees. After staring at her for a moment, he got excited - his job was nearly complete. "Found your way here already? What a shame," he said, voice high-pitched and raspy. Most simply put: Annoying. With a laugh, he ran off down a path that had been beaten by many feet, creating a brown trail through the forest.

Ciara has no idea where she was. But the trees were too dark. She needed to find her brother and run. She turned to retrace her steps but suddenly jumped and screamed when she heard someone speak. She whipped her body and head around just in time to see something run off down some kind of path. Part of her told her to follow. But another part of her screamed to run the opposite direction.

She found chasing after him, her speed surprising herself. She didn't know she could run this fast! "H-hey! Wait! Come back! I need to know where I am so I can get home!" She called.
