Yeah Shadowfur would not attack an apprentice. He'd fight back if they attacked him, and honestly given that he's currently going through a phase of being more aggressive than usual he'd probably be less careful than in the past. But he wouldn't attack unless attacked first.

If we can come up with a more substantial plot around this idea, I'd be willing to consider it. Perhaps Yellowpaw gets stuck in a hole or something, and when Shadowfur approaches to help he freaks out.
