Goldfish woke up by the sound of Pepperbounce grunt. She jerked awake, then grinned at Pepperbounce. "I am NEVER going on Ice again for all the prey in the forest- or and apprentice!" she annonuced. She felt confused by a strange, tender look in Pepper's eyes. He must be in pain, she thought. The look made her feel awkward and self-conscious.
(Although, Goldfish wouldn't know love if it didn't hit her in the face; background knowledge)
Goldfish smiled in attempt to shake off the look. "We should go to camp- Hey, look! I thought you'd wail like a kit with those scratches on your flank! Good job!" she teased, heaving herself to her paws, but to walk she had to lean partially on Pepper. She wished suddenly she could read minds. Life would be so much easier if Pepper would tell her what was wrong.

Pepper Bounce jumped a little as GoldFish woke up, although for a moment surprised by GoldFish’s Voice he managed a grin from her words. ‘Same here, if anything a little bit of ice might send me squealing now.’ Pepper joked, glad that it’d gone from silence to joking and laughter just as quick as it had been serious and panicked before.Pepper saw GoldFish’s body language change and looked away assuming he’d done something to freak her out.
He raised a nonexistent eyebrow at the mention of scratches on his flank and his eyes Widened as he glanced over to his flan, it was only when it was mentioned did it start stinging and Pepper winced. He huffed at the teasing though couldn’t help smiling, standing up as GoldFish did he shifted a little when GoldFish leaned on him for support so that it wasn’t awkward well they walked and began to move forward.
