Hmmmm...... They were stuck.
Buried under the snow they'd intended to use as a weapon the tripod futility wiggled trying to get out only to give up as only a single limb was able to escape. And that was only because Sprucepaw was helping out. The limb was their head though so it wasnt too bad!

Mudhound could not stop giggling as Featherpaw laughed as well, the mollies twin chortles more than making up for the toms complete lack of amusement at the situation. Lighten up Sprucy! This was fun! In an attempt to lighten up such a dour little face the tripod did their best to reach out and land an affectionate lick right on his little head (finally on level with Mudhounds own now that the maine coon mix was flattened) only to fail as they still could not budge, trapped in snow as they were.

"Ah, Im fine Sprucy! You got me real good, that was an amazing shot! Its nice to see you have fun~" It really was, even if Sprucepaw wasnt really acting like he enjoyed it. Mudhound knew better by now, onto the kids deadpan face and their soft fond smile showed it. "My own mega-ball turned on me! What a horrible snow-moss-ball right? Featherpaw, I am down and out, defeated in the snow battle, you must avenge me!!" A dramatic declaration but completely ruined by the giggle snorting the warrior couldnt avoid. "Take down Drizzlenight! Do not let him escape!" If the tom heard his own name and looked over at the order to take him down he'd see a full grown cat blowing a raspberry at him as they sicced an apprentice on him but he deserved it! How dare he dodge the mega ball that lead to Mudhound getting taken out of the battle!

Speaking of said mega ball and its effects.... Mudhound tried to stand again and failed, thoroughly stuck and turned puppy eyes on Sprucepaw. "Lend a paw to help me out Sprucy?" they begged, not wanting to remain a fish in a barrel stuck in the clearing after they were already decided on kinda recusing themselves from the snowy war.
