Wolfpaw doesn't waste time once the announcement was over. Now that they were home 'n away from immediate threat, his adrenaline was wearing off and he was exhausted. What he really wanted was to curl up with Bumba, 'n he headed into her den to join her for nap time.

Woofie had the right plan here as a downright exhausted Mudhound padded into the clearing and straight ignored the cats gathering to listen to Bumblestars explanation.

They looked rough, dog tired from carrying two corpses to riverclans camp and having to withstand the chaos once they arrived, coated in blood from the border fight, and with an ice crusted back leg that was kinda turning red as the mild frostbite sunk in.

The clan could draw their conclusions as any of Mudhounds loved ones would get a reassuring tired grin (and Wolfpaw got a final passing pat on the back as the maine coon mix departed) and the tripod just passed straight through and ducked into the medicine cats den mentally declaring the day over. If anyone needed them, Mudhound would be a useless lump until at least midday tomorrow.
