When he said that to Auroraflame, if Hannibal could feel agitation, he would certainly feel it now, but no, he simply stood there, staring at Onyx before taking a step back, he knew what would come next. That she-cats face will with anger as fast as a thunderstorm brews in greenleaf and the dark grey tom merely watched as it happened, knowing that it would burst and she would strike, likely before Onyx could even think about what was going on, and then once he got his bearings, he would fight back and the two would either kill him or send him fleeing into the underbrush. At least, that was the two outcomes he foresaw, there was always other possibilities, he just saw those two as the most likely to happen. And then she lunged and struck, the black oriental caught by surprise and getting hit by her strike, sending a few delicate drops of crimson to the glistening white ground, anger growing in the icy blue depths of the Syndicate cat and then he lunged. So far, Hannibal's prediction was correct, and he simply watched, he didn't need to have any part in this, it wasn't his style really.

To be truthful with himself, he was getting particularly fed up by this oriental and the way he was speaking as if he owned their territory and didn't particularly care what they had to say. He had a feeling despite what the grey cat said, he would come back and continue to do it and he would be forced to take particular measures he didn't really want to have to come to.
Though what he said to his deputy caused him to grit his teeth.
How utterly disrespectful!
But he had to keep his cool, leaders weren't supposed to explode with anger, not in his eyes, they were supposed to be diplomatic. However, he couldn't control what his deputy did and when she lunged forward, he didn't make a move to stop her, in fact, he completely allowed her to do this. That tom deserved it. He was about ready to tell him to get out of his sight when Onyx decided to retaliate. Snarling as Onyx flew through the air towards his deputy, Grousestar bolted forward, lunged and aimed to headbutt the black oriental right in the ribs to knock him sideways, very likely to go crashing into a nearby try with the force he would headbutt him with, if it landed. He would never let anyone lay a claw on his deputy.

Pain surged through Onyx's side as he was flung to the ground, and he rolled against a tree. Slowly, he stumbled to his feet. Retreat! his thoughts screamed, but something tempted him to keep fighting, despite the fact he realized his 'friend' was not going to help him. This made Onyx even more angered and he wanted to lash out on Hannibal, but a three on one match was a no-go.
Slowly, he lowered himself, and snarled. A weird feeling swept over him, one he did not like. He might actually lose this match, the first one since he even joined the syndicate. No, no I can't let that happen! he snarled mentally, and he rose to his paws, and circled the leader and deputy, and shook his head. His coordination was back, that was for sure, but he still had to know weaknesses. He reached the side of the eyeing leader, and he lunged, a well-aimed attack, and stretched his claws out for his shoulder. If the blow landed, it would only give him a split second to lunge another attack, if he had any stamina remaining.
Little did he know this attack would be the end of him. An angered deputy wasn't just going to stand by, and he totally forgot about the danger he was in if he lunged and since he had not considered the fact she was there, he was in too much danger as it is. Too late had he realized the position he was in, and seeing as Hannibal would just pick at his bones if he died, he didn't even try to stop the attack.
"Let's end this!" he snarled.
