Re: ThunderClan Clearing
Springpaw
long-furred, oriental-shaped, gray-and-orange calico molly with blue eyes; torn right ear || thunderclan medicine cat apprentice
purrks: herbal knowledge - tier 2 | the collector | mind reader | skip the steps[all perm. active; sts for battle training]
Bumblestar’s angered call was quick to make the young healer jolt up from her activities, making her stroll out into the clearing, where daylight was breaking thin behind bleak, gray clouds in the sky. Springpaw’s mind felt bleak against the rage that coursed through her leader’s tone, and the concurring feeling of fear prickling its way through her spine was more than enough to enlighten an old feeling that she never wanted to feel again. Fear. It was a complicated thing; something that she absolutely loathed every time it came and went. It was a feeling that caused every single wrong thing to happen at the wrong moments, causing her to make mistakes and never truly earn a right to apologize for such things. It was horrible, and now, with the commotion of RiverClan firing up, it was bound to grow into an endless tranquility of flames. Both her clan and RiverClan have been on the edge of war for the past few moons, and it was almost unstoppable. With their cowardly act of spreading poison and causing destruction of her clan, RiverClan was doing nothing but spiking up trouble. It was exhausting, yet Springpaw can’t do much about it.
All she was was just a mere healer; a healer that was meant to keep the peace and aid for her clan’s physical and mental health. She was supposed to be the clan’s therapist, to listen to whatever her clan-mates needed to say and help them aid through their mental or physical trauma. She almost could feel herself breaking down from the sheer force of responsibility laid out upon her shoulders just from the fact that she was not mentally okay. She never was. The whole turmoil of events that occurred from these last few moons have been weighing her down into exhaustion. The whole burden with RiverClan is just adding up to the stress that was overcoming her. It was just plain horrible and she knew it, but there wasn’t anything she could do to prevent it from happening. All she knew is that some war is going to come up out of nowhere, and she and Drizzlecloud needed to prepare. RiverClan might be coming up with something shady, and she needed someone to come with her for some coverage in case something were to come up and stab her in the back.
With a heaving sigh escaping her lungs, Springpaw searched through the crowd as her sapphire gaze landed upon the familiar sight of a orange-and-white tom. Yarrowcrest. Her heart painfully ached from just simply looking in the direction of the tom-cat. She hadn’t bothered to interact with him for a while. Hell, or even speak with him of all things. She only avoided him because of the fact that he held such a close relationship with Foxstep, and that only caused her to further feel a sense of guilt for casting herself away from the tom during the situation with ShadowClan and Sunkissed Creek. It practically physically hurt to even consider remembering the fact that she pushed Foxstep away before he could properly apologize. The only thing she wanted to do right now is simply go back in time and wish she could’ve said the proper words and never push him away in the first place. He was like a father, and she lost the only father figure that had ever, ever truly cared for her when she never knew her real one. Now, she’ll never get that sense of warmth and comfort again because he was gone and was never going to come back to ThunderClan no matter how much Springpaw wished he was there with her right now.
Taking a deep, shallow breath, the calico began to move her way towards the tom-cat, already struggling to work out the words that were muddled in her throat. Could she say hello? How was he doing? Was he alright? Was his kits alright? The questions felt like they were burning at the seams, but it wasn’t like she could avoid them. They were wanting to escape her lips like a sneaky snake, but she held herself back from such impulsive behavior. No cat was in their right mind to properly handle the situation that was going on right now. Especially not with how Bumblestar currently was handling this in her mental state. Swiping her tongue across her numb lips, the calico finally managed to process the words that were formulating in her throat. “Erm… Hey… Y-Yarrowcrest… I was… just wondering… if you… wanted to go… to Haggard Ruins… with me… to collect… some herbs… for the… herb storage? I would… think it… would help you… ease your mind… off of… everything that’s… been going… on as of… late… especially with… the whole ordeal… with RiverClan.” Springpaw gave the bicolored tom a small, yet apologetic smile in advance to her slow speech. Was that enough to get the tom-cat to come with her? Hopefully.
