Sunpaw fluffed as well, not one to be challenged without a challenge back, whether it was a challenge or not. "Interesting... Do you know anything about your past?" she asked, honestly curious. Why could she not shake the curiosity from her strange mind? She wasn't supposed to question a stranger like this, she was supposed to attack and/or scare off. What was she thinking? 'I'm not thinking at all,' she thought with a light, almost inaudible purr. Her orange-and-white pelt flattened against the breeze as Stride's scent hit her nose once again. It wasn't a particularly bad scent, and honestly, it slightly smelled familiar. But how could it be? She had never met this tom before today, how could his scent be somewhat familiar? She decided to wait for him to answer her first question before asking yet another.

Stride said nothing at first, as he was trying to remember something so that he wouldn't have to sy that he didn't, but when he couldn't remember hardly a hint of a memory from his past, he raised his he'd slightly. “Nope!” the reddish furred tom replied cheerily, shaking his head as he spoke. He wished he knew something, and her scent, was it just his mind wishing it were true, or did it actually almost smell familiar? He knew that it must be his mind playing tricks on him, as clearly, she didn't know him, and if he'd met her before, he was sure that he would've remembered that. Stride knew nothing before living with an elderly loner who had claimed to have found him in the forest one night, but before that, he knew nothing at all. Why, Stride would probably never know, as he'd pretty much given up on remembering anything from his past.
