Alderblossom had been sunning herself in a patch of sunlight under the little warmth of the leaf-bare sun.

Her deep amber eyes fluttered open to see her littermate - Thistlefrost - in front of her. Alderblossom jumped to her paws and stepped back, clearly startled.

''Great StarClan, Thistlefrost!'' The pretty tortoiseshell exclaimed.

''You scared me out of my fur!''

Alderblossom settled down onto her haunches and gave her chest fur a couple of embarrassed licks.

Thistlefrost let out a small laugh, as he scared the living starclan out of Alderblossom

" Ha, knew that would scare you, Alderblossom! " he said in an amused tone. it seemed someone was in a good mood today.
