This time, when Eaglekit found the intruder, she was leaping up and about, chasing after a butterfly as it wheeled with abandon over the tundra. Her heart thundered in her chest, but her legs did not ache from leaping up again and again. She felt like she could do it forever! She would catch that butterfly, whether it liked it or not!

The bug began fluttering towards the mountains on the horizon, and Eaglekit chased after it. The gorgeous night sky above cast her in a green and blue glow, her golden fur washed almost silver. She would catch it, she would! She--

"ohMF-" Eaglekit yelped as she was thrown to the ground by a strangely warm and fuzzy rock, tumbling a few tail-lengths away with a dull twinge of pain. Groaning, she got up and went to investigate. Another intruder? In Her Place? Ugh. After the last one, she didn't trust it at all. What if it was from ThunderClan? Those heartless... heartless... well she couldn't come up with a word that successfully captured how much she hated them, but that hardly mattered. Eaglekit peered at the other cat, who also seemed to be a kit.
