He had been caught in his own thoughts when he heard the slight laughter, turning his head up to see the cause of the noise. He was ready to snap as he saw the cat looking at him but—oh. They had a broken jaw too, or it appeared so. He let out a small, amused grunt, nodding his head to the cat in greeting since they were both probably too pained to speak.
