Midnightpaw sat near the nursery, her tail flicking back and forth behind her as she kept watch of the camp–but of the area around the nursery in particular. She noted Squirrelpaw sitting at her own ‘post’, by the camp's entrance… Although, she appeared to look a little off.

She inhaled slowly. Never the type to chat with other very often, this was squirrelpaw–a denmate of hers and a fellow guard… So, best to check up on her, right?

Lifting herself to her paws, tail lashing behind her, the elder apprentice approached her fellow guard. “Squirrelpaw–you doing alright over here?”

squirrelpaw barely notices midnightpaw approaching, seemingly focused on something else. that is, until the apprentice speaks to her – then she's blinking, gaze sliding over to the elder guard. ack..that's embarrassing and rude of me.., she internally scolds herself.

"oh..hi, m-midnightpaw." she greets, followed by a nod. "I'm..fine..j-just a bit...distracted, I s-suppose. but!! it..is o-okay." distracted, yes, she guesses that's the best way to put it. worn out from the battle. she'll find a solution ..erm..hopefully. she inhales, offering a small grin. "how..are you..?"
