Good, Aspenkit didn't have any questions. She was worried the amoynt of information she had thrown at the kit might overwhelm him, but he seemed to understand it. Algaebird answered his question of what the other clan's territory was like, and she elaborated on the other warrior's answer.
"ThunderClan's territory is tightly packed with trees. ShadowClan has mostly pines, spruces and firs, and a lot of it is marsh. WindClan's territory is almost completely open." That was about as much as she could give him about the other clan's territories given she had never explored them, so she moved on to another topic.
"I'm sure you know our relationship with the other clans, but I'll give you a brief summary of the history between them and us. A lot of this you'll probably already know, but I think it's worth telling you to fill in the gaps. WindClan has the most reason to invade us; we killed their deputy, some warriors severely injured one of their apprentices after she crossed the border, and three of their warriors invaded their camp." Annoyance pricked her pelt as she recounted how the stupidity of their warriors had contributed to RiverClan's demise. And, of course, Dusklion's rashness. She would respect her, but the fact remained that she was the one who had tipped RiverClan over the edge.
"We have a very rocky history with ThunderClan. I won't cover the specifics, but we've caused them a lot of grief." And they had returned the favour. They were even now, but rage still ignited in her chest when she thought of them. The slate should have been wiped clean long ago; it wasn't her generation that had antagonised them. But clearly Bumblestar had been nursing a grudge for a long time. And now the cycle would continue.
"On the other paw, we haven't done anything worth being invaded by ShadowClan." Anger laced her words, but she forced herself to keep her cool. There was no score to be settled with them, no reason for what they had done to RiverClan. "I believe Dawnstar agreed to win favour with the other clans." And she was probably itching for a fight after moons of peace.
