the marquess wants to be a queen, but a rook can never become one
Dusky gray of a lilac shade, Rookkit follows the slender frame of her mother not taking any structural resemblance to her father, other than the darker dotted patterns on her shoulder. Across her body scatters small whitish freckles, like stars in the night sky. She has hazel eyes with a heterochromia variations, one leaning amber and the other, a sage green. Her thin coat makes her smaller than some of her siblings, and it's something she felt cursed to inherit. Rookkit would work intensely to make up for what she missed genetically.

Ambitious, Confident, Analytical
Rook doesn't stop to question anything, she analyses and complete her objective. She's an ambitious and prideful cat who's set in her ways. Despite her smaller stature to her more maine-coon leaning siblings, she doesn't let that stop her. If she doesn't get to be like them by birth, she will do whatever she can in life. Rook's reliability and ability to solve problems becomes a powerful asset later in her life.
Blunt, Strong-willed, Intolerant
With a inferiority complex and a leader for a mother, Rook settles for nothing but perfection. Everything has to go her way and she has to be the best she could be. Rook is very critical and can be blunt when voicing her judgement on others and herself. But in a way, she is honest. Close friends and her littermate will know that when she spares her rare compliments, it means she really meant it. Eventually she'll learn the hard way, that she can't be the best at everything, but she'll strive to become better nonetheless.
Impatient, Unforgiving, Vindictive
If something falls out of line severely and cannot be changed, Rook would find it almost impossible to forgive. She can accept it once or twice, but if it's an unchangeable mistake, Rook would whole-hearted despise the cat regardless of who they are. On the occasion if this unchangeable mistake causes harm to her loved ones, Rook will seek vengeance until they're dead.

During this time, Rook would participate in anything she could and take all the possible lessons. Rook hates lectures, but is willing to sit through if it meant it'll make her a better warrior. She thinks doing this would get Twilightstar's attention. She knows her mother is busy, but is unable to verbally express her desires to connect with Twilightstar. She sees attention seeking behavior is something shameful for her to do. To her, attention should be earned not asked for.
apprenticeship
Rook would find it frustrating when seeing her sibling doing better than she is. Should one or more of the siblings be a naturally gifted warrior, it would only drive Rook to work harder. She'll find all the time she could to continuously practice until she overworks herself. Rook wants nothing but to rise up in the ranks.

Beastspark: After learning he's a previous ShadowClanner, she'll go to him requesting lessons and for him to spill some of ShadowClan's technique. If he's willing to share some, Rook would find herself visiting more often and eventually she'll be willing to ask and hear him out.

Leopardsong: Should Leopardsong ever fall seriously ill or harmed, Rook would finally admit how much she likes her, worrying it would be the last time she'll speak to her. Rook would visit her often to check up. Afterwards, she'll find it easier to spend more time with her.

"She's a leader with power and a clan at her beckoning and she's who I strive to become like. Mother never seems to see us that often. But if I work hard enough and become the best warrior, she'll have to look in our direction, right? If so, that is what I'll do. I'll become the best if not for her sake, for mines."

"He really has to have a paw in every world. I don't know what mother sees in him, but I'll tolerate it." She'll never meet her father alone and will only go if her littermates goes or if she's commanded to. Unless he proves useful to Rook such as teaching her ShadowClan techniques, she may be less willing to visit after becoming a warrior.

"She's nice, yeah... But sometimes I feel like she's pitying us, but she
is more of a
mother to us than Twilightstar ever was." Deep down, Rook loves Leopardsong more than anything, but she refused to show it and is always finding excuses to avoid the topic. Rook feels if she ever fully admits how much Leopardsong meant to her, she'll be less of a daughter to Twilightstar. But if not for Leopardsong's care, who know how this kit may have turned out.
Littermates
"They may be a bit strange, but if anyone lay a paw on them I'll see to it." Once again, Rook is unable to reveal her love for her family normally. Her littermate are her competition, her family, her companion. Rook may find herself jealous at them for various aspects, but learns to overcome that. Rook would like at least one of the sibling to be her duo, willing to do almost everything together.

"They have to be best of the best. I won't settle for any less. I want to learn all there is to know, and I want to be the best WindClanner...no, the best warrior, this world has ever seen. They have to give me the strength and power to match my mother's and the knowledge that brings me out on top."

"I never thought I could feel this way, perhaps I've lost my touch, my sense of duty to the crown. But, I do...I do find their company endearing. They're not as strong as I would like myself to be, but I feel strong when they're near. When they aren't close, I worry for their well-being and I wish they could...accompany me to the ends of time." It's really hard for others to find solace and warmth in Rook's company, but once Rook reciprocates that feeling, she's unable to let it go.
