TW: Slightest mention of animal abuse

 

A MEETING

It's a dark night, and you have strayed far, an area with nothing familiar. You feel a bit skittish, unsure of where to rest from here. You're tired, exhausted even, but you are unsure where to go.
"What are you doing here?"
You turn to the voice, and you see a cat.
The cat is black with white stripes, he had a blue and yellow eye, though the blue one looks a bit clouded. He also has an odd scar on his mouth.

"Lost."

"I see." He responds, though he doesn't seem to care too much.

"Who are you?"

He seems to slightly narrow his eyes at the question, in a distrusting manner.
"My name is Snake." He finally says after a moment, almost as if he was assessing you.

"Do you have a place to stay?"

Snake's ear twitches. They don't seem too happy with the sudden questions.
"No." He states firmly "I don't live in any one place. I wander, you could say.

"Where'd you get that scar?"

He then gives you a funny look.
"Are the questions necessary?"
You don't answer.
Snake sighs.
"Whatever." He mutters "Got it from an upwalker."

"Would you ever consider joining a clan?"

"Huh?" Snake now seemed surprised "What kind of question is that?"
Once again, you don't answer.
They roll their eyes, before answering.
"I've heard of them, that's about it." He says "I'd have to have a reason to join. Injuries, desperate. Maybe if I met someone who belonged in one, I'd have a better understanding, but I'm not sure how I'd feel about however many cats there are. I don't know anything about them anyway, just heard mentions of them from a cat or two. Talkin' about one leaving or something? Who knows, I sure don't. I'm usually pretty far away from... wherever they are, anyway."

"Why are you by yourself?"

"Not a big fan of others." Snake replies "Speaking which, you should go. There's a hollow in a fallen log that you can rest in, I'll be going."
And with that, Snake has left you.
